With the Community Board 6 vote in favor and the Borough President’s approval of our application last week, we are setting our sights on the next steps in the City’s public process for our rezoning application.
Come to the next Town Hall on July 13th and hear what those steps are.
CB6 Special Full board meeting and vote on the application filed by ERFA and its four elected officials: Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer, City Councilmembers Dan Garodnick and Ben Kallos, and State Sentaor Liz Krueger
Date: June 27, 2017
Time: 7 p.m
Location: Japan Society, 333 East 47th Street, Auditorium
Community Board Members will discuss the rezoning proposal and then the full Board will vote. Show CB6’s board that you are in solidarity as a community by coming to this meeting.
ERFA’s application to the City of New York for a zoning change to prevent the construction of supertall residential towers in the East River Fifties area was officially certified by the City Planning Commission on June 5th. The certification kicks off a months-long process of reviews and approvals.
First up: ERFA’s proposal goes to Community Board 6 and Borough President Brewer for review and approval.
Your attendance and participation at these public meetings is needed to show community solidarity and support for rezoning to ensure the prevention of the out-of-scale development we are now facing. There are 3 meetings with CB6 coming up. If you can’t make the first one, please consider attending a subsequent one.
First Meeting: Public Hearing before Community Board Six (Full Board)
Date: June 14, 2017
Time: 7 p.m.
Location: NYU Langone Medical Center, 550 First Avenue (near 30th Street) — Alumni Hall B
